Gleeda Dorothy Bruhl, 95, of Jackson passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022, at her home.
She was born Jan. 15, 1927, in Pocahontas, the daughter of Eberhart W. and Edna Schoen Ruehling. Gleeda married Dallas Bruhl Aug. 21, 1948, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pocahontas. He preceded her in death Oct. 9, 1999.
She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pocahontas. Gleeda enjoyed working word puzzles and reading the Guide Post.
Loving survivors include seven children, Gary Bruhl, Larry (Susan) Bruhl, Duane Bruhl, Mark Bruhl, Judy Bruhl, Donna Bruhl and Lisa Bruhl; two grandchildren, Hila Gatewood and Shauna Hicks; five great-grandchildren, A.J. and Luke Gatewood, Blake and Jake Saupe, and Sally Thomason; and a brother-in-law, Clarence Douglas of Arkansas.
In addition to her husband Gleeda was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Margie (Virgil) Lohman and Cleo Douglas.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Steven Theiss officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. John's Lutheran Church.
