GLADYS WRIGHT

URBANDALE, Ill. -- Gladys Wright, 93, of Urbandale, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 1996, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo.

She was born July 26, 1902, in Smithland, Ky., daughter of John and Bessie Hall Holdman. She married John Samuel Wright, who preceded her in death.

Wright was a member of Community Chapel Church.

Survivors include a son, John Wright of Lowell, Ind.; four sisters, Edyth Walls of Urbandale, Lela Kelley of Grand Chain, Inez Lange of Kankakee, Pearl Rothman of West Vienna; two grandchildren; two great-granddaughters, and a great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Community Chapel Church, with the Rev. Vester Keesee officiating. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo after 5 p.m. today, and at the church after 9 a.m. Friday.
