Gladys Woods, 91, of Burfordville passed away Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at her home.
She was born Oct. 31, 1925, in Southern Illinois, the daughter of William and Dora Baumuck Modglin. She and Ules Sherman Woods were married Aug. 15 1946. They had been married 67 years when Sherman passed away Dec. 10, 2013.
Gladys was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Jackson. She was dedicated to her family and enjoyed gardening and her flowers.
Loving survivors include three sons, Larry (Carol) and Mike (Nancy) Woods of Jackson and Andy (Kim) Woods of Burfordville; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters; and a brother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, four sisters and a great-granddaughter.
The visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Brother Ben Stafford officiating. Interment will be in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee, Missouri.
Memorials may be given to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1250 County Road 318, Jackson, MO 63755 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
