Gladys Wilson

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Gladys M. Wilson, 87, of Perryville died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002, at the Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born March 31, 1914, in Edwardsville, Ill., daughter of William and Mary Lautner Damke.

She worked for Woolworth in St. Louis and was store supervisor for Wilson 5&10 store.

She and Woodrow "Woody" Wilson were married April 1, 1944. He died Dec. 22, 1990.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Perryville Eastern Star and the Civic Literary club.

Survivors include two sons, Harry Schaedler and Byron Wilson of Perryville; a daughter, Joyce Dawson of St. Louis; two sisters, Lillian Wood and Viola Parsons of St. Louis; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Kelpe officiating.
