Gladys Pearl Stephens, 91, of Advance died Sunday, Jan. 26, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 15, 1905, in Wayne County, daughter of William and Bessie M. Buchanan Ulery. She and Luey David Stephens were married July 28, 1928, in Poplar Bluff. He died Jan. 25, 1976.
Survivors include a son, Orville Stephens of Morley; two daughters, Bessie Price of Cape Girardeau, Zella Wagle of Chaffee; a brother, Leonard Ulery of Independence, Kan.; two sisters, Lena Hayes and Zella Wilder of Rocky Ford, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a brother, two sisters, and two granddaughters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Glenys Duckworth officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery near Advance.
