TAMMS, Ill. -- Funeral for Gladys Marie Gunning of Tamms will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms. The Revs. Gene Hart and Kenneth Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in McCrite Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Gunning, 72, died Sunday, March 5, 2000, at her home.
She was born Sept. 5, 1927, in Tamms, daughter of Hollie and Mae Andrews Penry. She and M.W. Gunning Jr. were married Aug. 5, 1945.
Gunning had been a bookkeeper and assistant at Gunning's Garage in Tamms. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and was involved with Happy Helpers Pantry.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Joyce Carnell of Blytheville, Ark.; a son, Michael Gunning of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; a half brother, Vernon Glasco of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter.
