Gladys Bridger

SIKESTON, Mo. -- The funeral for Gladys Bridger of Fresno, Calif., will be held at 11 a.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Kelly Grubbs will officiate. Burial will be in Essex Cemetery at Essex, Mo.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m.

Bridger, 88, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, at Horizon Rehab Facility in Fresno.

She was born May 25, 1914, in Canalou, Mo., daughter of C.J. and Annie Cutter. She and Charley L. Bridger were married Jan. 31, 1928. He died May 26, 1997.

Bridger was formerly of Sikeston.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Bridger of Oakdale, Calif., William Bridger of Fowler, Calif.; two daughters, Marjorie Trammel of Fresno, Alma Chisholm of Deming, N.M.; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
