GLADYS BLANK

Gladys W. Blank, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, March 24, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born June 16, 1906, at Oriole, daughter of Charley and Cora Ellen Shirley Whitticre. She married Charles Paul Blank at Benton. He died in 1962.

Blank had been a waitress at Marquette Hotel and Colonial Tavern, and also worked at Mr. C's. She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, William and Robert Blank of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Barbara Blank of Cape Girardeau, Pauline Gunn of Pekin, Ill.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother, and two sisters.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Revs. James Caughlan and Ernest Jordan will officiate. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.

Friends may call at the chapel Friday from 9:30 a.m. until service time.
