GILBERT KOHLER

TAMMS, Ill. -- Gilbert "Gib" Kohler, 72, of Tamms died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.

He was born in Dongola, Ill., son of Roy Van and Hazel Georgia Sharp Kohler. He and Bonnie Schierbaum were married June 16 1962, at Millcreek, Ill.

Kohler was a massage therapist and member of the American Massage Therapy Association 32 years.

He was a member of Millcreek Baptist Church and had been a Sunday School teacher and deacon.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Shawnna Rhine; a son, Gilbert Kohler of Tamms; two brothers, Glenn Brown of Gainesville, Texas, Bon Kohler of Millcreek; a sister, Wilmena Allen of Long Beach, Calif.; and a grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Ill., from 5-8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Millcreek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Richardson officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
