GILBERT BREWER

PERRYVILLE -- Gilbert J. Brewer, 77, of St. Louis died Monday, Dec. 14, 1998, at Barnes Jewish North in St. Louis.

He was born May 13, 1921, in Perry County, son of William Joseph and Viola Miles Brewer.

Brewer was a maintenance worker at Petrolite Corp. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, and Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Brewer of Villa Ridge, Mo., Ronald Brewer of Manchester; two daughters, Charlene Pairn of Imperial, and Lawana Brewer of House Springs.

Also surviving are six sisters, Anna Grant and Betty Brunner of St. Louis, Rae McFarland of St. Charles, Lou Page of Sikeston, Thelma Wilcox of Florissant, Leora Gebhardt of Ballwin; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, two brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30-10:30 a.m. The parish wake will be at 6 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
