LIBERTY -- Gertrude Mary Unterreiner, 83, died Monday, Dec. 29, 1997, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty.
She was born Nov. 15, 1914, at Silver Lake, daughter of Marion and Mary Tucker McLain. She married Edmund H. Unterreiner on May 12, 1934, at St. Louis. He died Dec. 13, 1981.
She was retired from the International Shoe Factory and had served one term on the Perryville City Council. She attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include seven sons, Donald Unterreiner of Lake Elsinore, Calif., Wayne Unterreiner of Excelsior Springs, Edmund H. Unterreiner II of St. Peters, Richard Unterreiner of St. Louis, Warren Unterreiner of Liberty, Glennon Unterreiner of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Michael Unterreiner of St. Charles; two daughters, Mary A. Moore and Barbara J. Wright, both of St. Louis; a brother, Claude McLain of Manassee, Calif.; two sisters, Edith Roths and Marie Marshall, both of St. Louis; 34 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. today and 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Saturday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish wake service will be at 7 tonight at the funeral home, and rosary service will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Gerald P. Kelly officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
