CHARLESTON -- Gertrude Morrow, 79, of West Wego, La., died Tuesday, March 24, 1998, at her home.
She was born July 30, 1918, in Fulton, Miss., daughter of Lee Alvin and Lee Etta Todd Spearman. She and Alvin Murphy Morrow were married Aug. 4, 1937. He died Dec. 10, 1993.
Morrow had lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bertrand.
Survivors include two sons, Bob Morrow of Las Vegas, Nev., Glen Morrow of Springfield, Ill.; a daughter, Kay Langley of West Wego; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lee Fansler officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
