KELSO -- Gertrude Grace LeGrand, 69, of Kelso, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 1996, at her home.
She was born Oct. 11, 1926, at Kelso, daughter of Peter and Coletta Burger Scherer. She and Ervin S. LeGrand were married Aug. 7, 1945, at Kelso.
LeGrand had been a sales associate at Famous-Barr in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and St. Ann's Sodality, Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 6407 and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary 6420 in Scott City.
She was a 4-H leader 25 years, and had been a member of the University of Missouri Extension Service and Scott City Better Homemakers Extension Club.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Kenneth and William LeGrand of Kelso, Randall and Keith LeGrand of Cape Girardeau, and six grandchildren.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 4 p.m. today. The rosary will be at 7, and a joint service by Knights of Columbus and its Ladies Auxiliary will be held at 7:30.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Augustine Church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
