Gertrude Lucille Cotner, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 12, 1921, in Egypt Mills, Mo., daughter of Benjamine Frederick and Clara Lydia Neidling Exler.
She married Harvey E. Cotner April 6, 1947, in Egypt Mills. He died June 8, 1994.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau and the Lutheran Ladies Auxiliary. She worked for International Shoe and volunteered at St. Francis Medical Center. She was involved in the family business, Cotner Electric, for several years.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald Cotner and Keith Cotner, both of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Phyllis Price of Plano, Texas; two sisters, Cecil Dunn of Sulphur, Ky., and Viola Schlegel of Cape Girardeau; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Douglas Breite will officiate.
Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Egypt Mills.
