Geraldine Yates

COBDEN, Ill. -- Geraldine Yates, 62, of Cobden died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.

She was born Oct. 3, 1940, at Wolf Lake, Ill., daughter of John W. and Georgia Lucille Linton Smith.

She was a member of the Anna Moose Lodge.

Survivors include two daughters, Darlene Tipton and Cathy Hickam, both of Cobden; three brothers, Bob Smith of Jonesboro, Ill., John Smith of Anna and Mike Smith of Kansas City, Kan.; three sisters, Marcella Teller and Jane Hutchison, both of Anna, and Irene Teller of Dongola, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Yates, her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Friends may call at Hileman & Parr Funeral Services from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Joe Aldridge offciating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
