POPLAR BLUFF -- Geraldine "Gerry" M. Pittman, 68, of Poplar Bluff, a former resident of Cape Girardeau, died June 1, 1993, at the Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis.
She was born Sept. 11, 1924, in Jackson, and formerly lived in Cape Girardeau. She had lived most of her life in Poplar Bluff.
She was a homemaker, and also a retired nurse at Lucy Lee Hospital and the former Poplar Bluff Hospital.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff, Ladies Auxiliary Transportation Union and American War Mothers.
She married M.R. Pittman on May 11, 1947, in Piggott, Ark. He survives.
Others survivors include four sons, Ralph Pittman of Sedgewickville, Mo., Billy Pittman of Jackson, and Bruce Pittman and Michael Pittman, both of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Emma Jean Sides of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
Friends may call after 6 p.m.. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, with the Rev. John Gilbert officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
