PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Geraldine "Geri" Buchheit, 72, of Perryville died Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 20, 1944, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of David and Laverne Schremp Marr. She and Clyde Charles Buchheit were married April 4, 1964. He survives in Perryville.

Geri was owner of Buchheit's Repair Shop in Perryville. She loved spending time with family, helping others, collecting Care Bears and trout fishing. She was an active Red Cross donor and former member of the Sportsman Club Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include three sons, Kevin Buchheit Sr. and fiancee Tamie Hays and Darin (Julia) Buchheit, all of Perryville, and Ron (Cindy) Buchheit of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Edith (Louie) Vernon of Festus, Missouri; one brother, Larry (Karolyn) Marr of Perryville; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Alkemeyer of Perryville, Helen (Rich) Rolfing of St. Charles, Missouri, and Ann Bodenstein of Gordonville; one brother-in-law, Albert (Pat) Buchheit of Perryville; five grandchildren, Ashley Buchheit, Beverly (Dakota) Zimmerman, Kevin Buchheit Jr. and Grace and Faith Buchheit; seven great-grandchildren, AnnaMarie Buchheit, Jenifer and Kylee Brewer and Chloe, Dakota Jr., Taylen and Nova Zimmerman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Linda Marr.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 6:30 to 10 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Pastor Jim Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorials preferred to Heartland Baptist Church, P.O. Box 634, Perryville, MO.
