SCOTT CITY -- Funeral for Geraldene Lix of Scott City will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. William Dickey will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call at the chapel after 4 p.m. today. A VFW Auxiliary service will be held at 7:30.

Lix, 67, died Wednesday, April 15, 1998, in a hospital in Orlando, Fla.

She was born April 14, 1931, in Parkin, Ark., daughter of Jesse and Molly Carter Moore. She and Willard W. Lix were married Jan. 30, 1950, at Scott City.

Lix was a member of VFW Auxiliary 6407, started Girl Scout Troop in Scott City in 1960, and was a former member of Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, William Lix of Scott City, DeWayne Lix of Benton; two daughters, Linda Tranum-Shank of Okeechobee, Fla., Jeannenne Coomer of Whitewater; a brother, Myron Carter of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Charlene Moore and Mary Phipps of Scott City; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
