Gerald L. Taylor, 71, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, April 30, 2018, at Monticello House in Jackson.
Originally from, Benton, Missouri, he was born July 29, 1946, in Cape Girardeau to Dickie and Virgie Taylor.
He spent time as stage manager for the Doobie Brothers in the 1970s as well as many other acts in the music industry.
He attended First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his son, Michael (Alyssa) Taylor of Maplewood, Missouri, and two grandchildren, Vivian Taylor and Asher Taylor.
There will be no services.
