PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Gerald A. Moll, 87, of Perryville died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at Independence Care Center in Perryville.
He was born Sept. 30, 1924, in Perry County, Mo., to Albert and Ida Ernst Moll. He married Rita Winschel on Sept. 11, 1948, at Apple Creek, Mo.
He was the owner and operator of Moll Meat Market in Perryville. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Darryl Moll of Rapid City, S.D., Rick Moll of Perryville; four daughters, Karren Tarrillion of Perryville, Kathryn Moll of Los Angeles, Kristina LaRose of Jefferson City, Mo., and Cynthia Rubach of St. Louis; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Troy and Kirk.
Visitation will be held at 5 p.m. Monday in the Gathering Space of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Funeral Mass will follow at 7 p.m. at the church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan, CM, officiating. Entombment will be private, in the Mary, Queen of Heaven Mausoleum in Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to St. Vincent de Paul Parish or charity of choice.
