Gerald Lentz

ULLIN, Ill. -- Gerald E. "Wolf" Lentz, 83, of Ullin died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003, at Jonesboro Health Care Center.

He was born June 11, 1920, in Alexander County, son of Joseph H. and Cecile Clarabelle Gaskill Lentz. He and Wanda P. Dexter were married Nov. 22, 1949. She died Aug. 12, 1987.

He was a member of the Elco Methodist Church and the Pulaski-Alexander Farm Bureau. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He had been a farmer and a mechanic at Dickerson's in Ullin.

Survivors include a brother, Mark Lentz of Elgin, Ill.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Elco Methodist Church.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Tom Bailey officiating. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery with military graveside honors by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
