TAMMS, Ill. -- Funeral for Gerald Honey of Tamms will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms. The Rev. R.L. Robinson will officiate, with burial in McCrite Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Honey, 81, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 15, 1917, in Tamms, son of William and Carrie Boals Honey. He and Ethel McCrite were married March 26, 1949.
Honey retired as a packer with Wilson Sporting Goods. He was a member of Cairo VFW Post and Pulaski-Alexander County Farm Bureau. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a stepson, R.J. Williams of Tamms; a stepgranddaughter; and a great-stepgranddaughter.
