SAN ANTONIO -- Gerald Wayne Dunn, 74, passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, in San Antonio.
Gerald was born Nov. 27, 1946, in Cape Girardeau to George Wesley and Edna Pauline Dunn. Gerald and Betty married on Oct. 16, 1966, and enjoyed 39 years together.
He graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1964.
Gerald honorably served his country in the Air Force for more than 26 years. After retiring from the military, he began a career of more than 20 years in auto sales with North Park Dealership, where he won multiple awards, including top salesman of the year.
He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in San Antonio.
He is survived by his mother; daughter, Lori Dunn; son, James Dunn; six grandchildren; sisters, Carmen (Gerrie) Jones and Kathy (John) Lewis; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Dunn, and his father.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Jan. 4 at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 N. Loop 1604 East, in San Antonio.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Jan. 5 at Crossroads Baptist Church. Dr. Doug Diehl will officiate. Interment with full military honors will follow in Mission Burial Park North.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
