Georgia Wren

Georgia B. Diamond Wren, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.

She was born Jan. 31, 1926, in Cape Girardeau to Robert and Maude Beckett Diamond. She and Ralph A. "Sonny" Wren were married in Cape Girardeau.

Georgia gave her life to the Lord at a young age and continued to live her life serving the Lord.

She was a loving mother and dear friend to all. She touched many lives, never met a stranger and turned no one away. She always saw the good in everyone. She loved good food, visiting with family and playing bingo and going to the casino.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Bragg and Becky Stinnett; three sons, Gary, Kenny and Don Wren; 15 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sonny Wren; son, Wayne Wren; daughter, Teresa Wren; seven sisters; two brothers; and a grandson, Dusty Wren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford and Jerry Respondek officiating. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
