BERTRAND -- Georgia Marie Bellah Poyner, 76, of Bertrand died Sunday, Feb. 18, 1996, at the Bertrand Nursing Facility.

She was born Feb. 22, 1919, in Datto, Ark., to John and Adar Kirby Roark. In 1939, she married Morris Bellah, who died in 1954. In 1961, she married Fremon Poyner, who died in 1988.

She lived in Mississippi County most of her life and was a member of Cornerstone General Baptist Church in Bertrand.

Survivors are a son, Don Bellah of Sikeston; a daughter, Betty Martin of Bertrand; three stepsons, Dewayne Poyner of Charleston, Gary Poyner of Scott City and Douglas Poyner of East Prairie; four stepdaughters, Diane Hall of Bertrand, Melvita Gipson of Trumann, Ark., Barbara Breithaupt of Natchez, Miss.; and Glenda Shankle of Bertrand; two brothers, J.D. Roark of Kansas and Ed Roark of Hillsboro; 27 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Cullen officiating. Burial will follow in Nelson Cemetery at Reno, Ark.
