ANNA, Ill. -- Georgia Lyerla, 80, of Anna died Thursday, Jan. 23, 1997, at Union County Hospital. She was born March 18, 1916, in Johnson County, daughter of Garner and Myrtle Mathis Rion. ANNA, Ill. -- Georgia Lyerla, 80, of Anna died Thursday, Jan. 23, 1997, at Union County Hospital.

She was born March 18, 1916, in Johnson County, daughter of Garner and Myrtle Mathis Rion.

She is survived by a daughter, Valrey Coleman of Anna; a sister, Mable Adams of Anna; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Tom Miller officiating. Burial will be in Anna City Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
