Georgia Mae Haman, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, March 23, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born May 19, 1920, at Chaffee, daughter of Frank C. and Zetta Essner Bertrand. She and Lewis Haman were married June 19, 1941, in Cape Girardeau. He died Feb. 11, 1978.
Haman had been a cook at Cape Girardeau Public Schools. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, its Ladies Council, Daughters of Isabella, and Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 3838.
Survivors include three sons, Richard Haman of St. Louis, Randy Haman of Kennett, John Haman of Cape Girardeau; five brothers, Harry, Frank, Ronnie and John Bertrand, all of Cape Girardeau, Bob Bertrand of Harrisburg, Pa.; three sisters, Charlotte Dunn, Shirley Schmidt and Lorraine Eaton, all of Cape Girardeau; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent's Church. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
