Seen cleaning up Litz Park, one of the four parks benefitting in Jackson's Park Day, were from left, Angela Breese and Keith Sander. ANNA, Ill. -- Georgia Reischauer Damron, 78, of Marion, Ill., died Friday, April 25, 2003, at her home.

She was born Oct. 4, 1924, at Jonesboro, Ill., daughter of Louis O. and Alvina H. Rudert Reischauer. She and John L. Damron were married. He died March 26, 2003. She worked at Anna State Hospital.

Damron was a member of Marion Senior Circle, Truth Seekers Sunday School Class, Good Neighbors Sewing Club and was a longtime quilting volunteer at Marion Senior Citizens Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Pat of Marion and Brigetta of Atlanta, Ga.; and a sister, Irene, of Anna.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and a son.

Friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Second Baptist Church, Anna, Ill., with a memorial service following. The Dr. Bob Wagner will officiate.
