CHAFFEE -- Georgia Lee Cox, 74, of Chaffee died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Nov. 11, 1925, at Chaffee, daughter of Oral and Effie Jane Fowler Whitaker. She married Allen Gene Cox April 12, 1947. He died May 16, 1981...
CHAFFEE -- Georgia Lee Cox, 74, of Chaffee died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 11, 1925, at Chaffee, daughter of Oral and Effie Jane Fowler Whitaker. She married Allen Gene Cox April 12, 1947. He died May 16, 1981.
Cox retired as a cook at the former Chaffee General Hospital. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Lana McAlister of Chaffee; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Assembly of God Church. The Rev. William H. Marshall will officiate. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
