GEORGE WILLIAMS

SIKESTON, Mo. -- George Williams, 49, of Sikeston died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born June 28, 1951, in Matthews, Mo., son of Lester P. and Lorene Kearby Williams. He and Karen Webb were married May 25, 1973.

Williams worked as a tilt lift operator at Rowe Furniture in Morehouse, Mo.

Survivors include his wife; his mother and stepfather, Walter Kearby of Sikeston; three sons, Jason A. Williams, George Allen Williams Jr. and Michael D. Williams, all of Sikeston; three sisters, Faye Dickerson of Scott City, Mo., Ruth Kearby and Phyllis Haynes, both of California; four stepbrothers, Don Kearby of California, and Teddy Kearby, Bill Kearby and Tom Kearby, all of Sikeston; and one granddaughter.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
