Funeral service for George W. Warrell, 1907 Sherwood, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Clayton Smith will officiate. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. Thursday.

Warrell, 79, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born March 20, 1918, in Salem, Ore., son of the Rev. John William and Elizabeth Hill Warrell. He and Commery Lindsay were married March 21, 1948, in Portland, Ore.

Warrell received a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Oregon. He was a retired bookkeeper.

He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge Pacific 50 in Salem, and was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Patrick Warrell of Kirkland, Wash.; a daughter, Susan Haugland of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Mabel Wilhelm of Coto de Caza, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
