PATTON, Mo. -- George A. Ward, 94, of Patton died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2000, at his home. He was born Feb. 20, 1906, at Fredericktown, Mo., son of Joseph Thomas and Lou Zettie Venable Ward. He and Freda Miinch were married Sept. 22, 1934, at Patton. Ward farmed all his life. He was a member of Pine Hill United Methodist Church...

PATTON, Mo. -- George A. Ward, 94, of Patton died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2000, at his home.

He was born Feb. 20, 1906, at Fredericktown, Mo., son of Joseph Thomas and Lou Zettie Venable Ward. He and Freda Miinch were married Sept. 22, 1934, at Patton.

Ward farmed all his life. He was a member of Pine Hill United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Dick Ward of Williamsville, Ga.; a daughter, Sandy Smith of Patton; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pine Hill Church. The Rev. W.D. Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
