George W. Gloth, 75, 211 N. West End Boulevard, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Jan. 15, 1918, at Whitewater, son of William L. and Edith Snider Gloth. He and Dorothy Foeste were married Nov. 22, 1958, in Cape Girardeau.
Gloth was employed 32 years at Florsheim Shoe Co., retiring in 1983. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Men's Club.
He was a medic with the U.S. Air Force during World War II, and was awarded six Bronze Stars.
Survivors include his wife; five brothers, Emory, Cletus, Arthur and Harold Gloth of Whitewater, Cornelius Gloth of Wentzville; three sisters, Velma Friedrich of Oak Ridge, Doris Stevens of Puxico, and Bertha Gloth of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Church. The Rev. David Dissen will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
