George A. Treece, 82, of Millersville, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 5, 1930, at Charleston, Mo., to Isaac and Lula Boyer Treece.
He and Betty Ratledge were married Oct. 31, 1953, at Benton, Mo.
George was a member of Millersville First Baptist Church.
He worked at the Ford Motor Co. in Hazelwood, Mo. After retirement he moved from Wentzville, Mo., to Millersville, where he lived for 30 years. He loved to fish, garden and raise all kinds of fowl.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Treece of Millersville; two sons, Kenny Treece (Lucillia) of Houston and Michael Treece (Melani) of Litchfield, Ill.; a sister, Nola Edwards (William), of New Madrid, Mo.; and five grandchildren, Sean, Logan and Dylan Treece and Mariah and Jourdan Treece.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Hyder Treece, and two brothers who died as infants; and four sisters, Minnie Crumpecker, Dora Kalb, Shirley Carter and Mary Treece.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Daniel Hale officiating.
Burial will be in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery in Benton.
Memorial contributions may be given to New Savannah Baptist Church.
