SIKESTON -- Funeral service for George T. Foote Jr. of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at First United Pentecostal Church. The Rev. Billie Butler will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 9 a.m. to noon.

Foote, 76, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 23, 1916, in Aaron, Ga., son of George T. and Janie Davis Foote. He and Lila Goetz were married Sept. 2, 1939, at Charleston.

Foote was a retired self-employed brick mason, and member of First United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gary and Greg Foote of Sikeston; a daughter, Charlene Woods of Sikeston; two brothers, Theo Foote of Lampus, Texas, Bennie Foote of Guyton, Ga.; three sisters, Mary Williams and Susie Adcock of Brooklett, Ga., Janie Wallace of Poplarville, Miss.; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and three brothers.
