BLOOMFIELD -- George E. Stevens Jr., 46, of Bloomfield died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.
He was born Aug. 18, 1953, in St. Louis, son of George and Lucille Bradshaw Stevens. He married the former Melodie Bennett.
Stevens was a construction worker, and had lived in Bloomfield the past 20 years.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Steven Grounds of Phoenix, Ariz., Allen Stevens of Advance; a stepson, Terry Evans of Bloomfield; father and stepmother, George and Lura Dell Stevens of Advance; a brother, Gary Hudson of Advance; and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his mother, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.
