ST. ANN, Mo. -- George Edward Sprengel Sr., 67, of St. Ann, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, at De Paul Hospital in Bridgeton, Mo.
He was born Dec. 13, 1933, at Cape Girardeau, son of August and Letha Wallace Sprengel.
Sprengel was an aircraft mechanic. He was a member of the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Bridgeton.
Survivors include a son, George Sprengel Jr. of Maryland Heights, Mo.; two daughters, Linda Sue Burton of High Ridge, Mo., and Shannon Key Metzger of Ballwin, Mo.; two brothers, Archie Sprengel and August Sprengel, both of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Ruth Langston of Cape Girardeau and Wanda Perr of Brea, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 3-9 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral will be at noon Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Douglas Breite. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
