WOLF LAKE, Ill. -- George "Bob" Spicer Sr., 61, of Wolf Lake died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, at his home.
He was born Jan. 27, 1944, in Carterville, Ill., son of Clarence and Berniece Miller Spicer. He and Gloria Janene Hastings were married May 6, 1963, in Creal Springs, Ill.
Spicer was a painter.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bobby Spicer of Grand Tower, Ill., Jeff Spicer of Murphysboro, Ill.; two daughters, Mary Smith of Wolf Lake, Kathy Chapman of Jonesboro; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim stamp officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery with military rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
