ADVANCE, Mo. -- George Beren Seabaugh, 79, of Advance passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at his home. He was born Feb. 22, 1937, at Scopus, Missouri, the son of Pyrtle and Ruth Masters Seabaugh. George had been self-employed as a farmer, truck driver and also ran his own electronics business. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of ARRL and his call sign was KEOR. He enjoyed fishing with his wife, Edith. He loved to joke and tease people...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- George Beren Seabaugh, 79, of Advance passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at his home.

He was born Feb. 22, 1937, at Scopus, Missouri, the son of Pyrtle and Ruth Masters Seabaugh.

George had been self-employed as a farmer, truck driver and also ran his own electronics business. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of ARRL and his call sign was KEOR. He enjoyed fishing with his wife, Edith. He loved to joke and tease people.

George and Janet Hwten were united in marriage Dec. 20, 1958, at Bloomfield, Missouri, and she preceded him in death Dec. 20, 1993. He later married Edith Cato on April 19, 1995, in Bollinger County, Missouri, and she survives of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, Bryan (Patti) Seabaugh of Advance, Greg (Jeanie) Seabaugh of Wentzville, Missouri, and Mike (Gwen) Seabaugh of Advance; a daughter, Kerri (Ben) Lanpher of Advance; two stepdaughters, Tonia Murphy of Advance and Anna (Jason) Wilson of Eolia, Missouri; a stepson, Josh Sturgon of Houston; two brothers, Pyrtle Seabaugh Jr. of Phoenix and Harold Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Mary Francis of West Palm Beach, Florida, Marlene Schott of O'Fallon, Missouri, and Kay Thiele of St. Louis; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet; a brother, Douglas Seabaugh; and two sisters, Deloris Karuss and Annie Jahnsen.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Burial will be at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance with full military rites.
