TAMMS, Ill. -- George Robison, 75, of Elco died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born on Aug. 6, 1923, in Alexander County, son of Ora and Bernice Provo Robison. He married Anna Belle Cox. She died in 1979. He married Dean Morris Honey in 1983...

TAMMS, Ill. -- George Robison, 75, of Elco died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on Aug. 6, 1923, in Alexander County, son of Ora and Bernice Provo Robison.

He married Anna Belle Cox. She died in 1979. He married Dean Morris Honey in 1983.

He was a farmer and a retired truck driver. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Marines. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Dean, of Elco; a stepdaughter, Laura Stringer of Ullin; two stepsons, J.L. Honey of Springfield, Ill., and Keith Honey of Tamms; a sister, Pauline Jones of Perryville; six brothers, Donald Robison of Cairo, Kenneth Robison of Thebes, Cecil Robison of Marble Hill, Mo., Clarence Robison of St. Louis, Jim Robison of Cadet, Mo., and Herschel Robison of Fagus, Mo; and three step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and son.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The Rev. Tom Bailey will officiate. Burial will be in McCrite Cemetery.
