PATTON, Mo. -- George Henry Pulliam, 87, of Patton passed away Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at his home.
He was born May 2, 1927, at Patton, son of Harley Andrew and Mettie Grindstaff Pulliam. He and Elcie Marie Long were married July 4, 1953.
George was a line operator at McDonnell Douglas, and later worked in the lumber yard at Pocahontas Lumber. He was a member of Little Whitewater Baptist Church.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Elcie of the home; a daughter, Connie (Gary) Province of Patton; a sister, Pearl South of Pacific, Missouri; a granddaughter, Tracy (Scott) Cook of Marble Hill, Missouri; and a great-grandson, Dylan Cook.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Norman Ray and Lowell; and sisters Ruth, Clara, Mona and Mary.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Don Estes and Scott Cook officiating. Burial will be in Pulliam Cemetery near Patton with full military honors.
