MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- George Plant, 81, of Marble Hill passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020, at his home.
He was born Jan. 1, 1939, in Chicago, the son of Thomas and Francis Marie Kuba Plant. He and Joanne were united in marriage July 6, 1963, and she passed away Aug. 19, 2006.
George retired from Buchheit's as a mechanic, served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force and was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his daughters, Pamela Strong of Marble Hill and Patricia Waugh of Chicago; sister, Geraldine Dolle of Bridgeview, Illinois; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Joanne Plant; parents; brother, Thomas Plant; and sisters, Rose Bancroft and Francis Knopinski.
A celebration of life memorial will be held at a later date.
