George Webster Moore, 87, of San Antonio passed from this life Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, in San Antonio. He was born Nov. 14, 1922, at Allenville, son of Charles A. and Anna Bock Moore. Moore was a machinist in the printing department at Express-News 32 years; was employed with Bexar County Sheriff's Reserve 20 years and owned AAA Stamping and Engraving. George Webster Moore, 87, of San Antonio passed from this life Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, in San Antonio.

He was born Nov. 14, 1922, at Allenville, son of Charles A. and Anna Bock Moore.

Moore was a machinist in the printing department at Express-News 32 years; was employed with Bexar County Sheriff's Reserve 20 years and owned AAA Stamping and Engraving. He worked at the Southeast Missourian from 1950 to 1952.

He was a member of Aid Association for Lutherans, and was a 60-year member of American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers; four sisters; and a grandson, Benjamin George Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Ruby Franck Moore; three children, Georgia Brown (Jerry), Gary E. Moore, Gloria M. Dykes (Doug); seven grandchildren, Lori L. Bronstad (Mark), David M. Brown, Jennifer Williams (Kenneth), Susan Moore, Sarah Moore, John W. Von Essen (Tiffany), Ashlie N. Bates; eight great-grandchildren, Jessica Bronstad, Carl John Williams, Gracie Ricord, Summer Von Essen, Kyle Von Essen, Nattali Von Essen, Luke Dykes, Blake Brittain; and a brother, Leonard Moore.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Sunset Funeral Home in San Antonio.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
