CHAFFEE -- George H. McBride Sr., 71, of Chaffee died Monday, July 12, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 12, 1927, at Blomeyer, son of Emmett Leroy and Bertha Elizabeth Cato McBride. He and Juanita L. Robins were married April 14, 1947. She died April 9, 1999.
McBride was a self-employed carpenter. He had lived in Chaffee 30 years, and was a member of Stoddard County Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include three sons, George R. McBride of Waynesville, David McBride of Chaffee, George H. McBride Jr. of Delta; two daughters, Martha Felty and Patsy Schmitt of Chaffee; two brothers, Emmett McBride of Scott City, Charles McBride of Marmaduke, Ark.; two sisters, Laura Mansker of Scott City, Betty Grojean of Gordonville; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Joe Payne officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
