George H. James, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, at Southeast Hospital.
He was born Feb. 7, 1936, in Cape Girardeau to Henderson James and Eurice Green James.
He was a member of Second Baptist Church. His hobbies included gardening, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include a sister, Bertha James of Cape Girardeau; niece, Thrisa Ayers of Cape Girardeau; and numerous nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Teresa Campbell officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
