GEORGE I. MEIKLE

Funeral service for George Irwin Meikle of Afton, Okla., will be held at 10 a.m. today at Sherman-Schrag Funeral Chapel in Grove, Okla. Dick Sanders will officiate, with burial in Rolston Cemetery in Afton.

Meikle, 62, died Sunday, July 30, 1995, at his home.

He was born March 9, 1933, in Ft. Lupton, Colo. He and Julie Petzoldt were married May 24, 1980, in Jackson.

Meikle was an aircraft salesman. He owned and operated Auction Air at Cape Girardeau Municipal Airport from 1970-80. He moved to Afton in 1988 from Clearwater, Fla.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Randy Phillips of San Diego, Calif., Don Meikle of Nashville, Tenn.; four daughters, Susan Saruwatari of Grand Junction, Colo., Heide Holder of Gillette, Wyo., Carrie Moore of Afton, Meghan Meikle of the home; his mother, Georgia Meikle of Visalia, Calif., and a sister, Marla Decker of Visalia.
