ANNA, Ill. -- George A. Dover, 88, of Anna died Monday, Aug. 3, 1998, at Union County Hospital. He was born Jan. 20, 1910, at Mill Creek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley J. Dover. He and Elsie Rhodes were married in May 1928 in Jonesboro. She died Dec. 26, 1989...

ANNA, Ill. -- George A. Dover, 88, of Anna died Monday, Aug. 3, 1998, at Union County Hospital.

He was born Jan. 20, 1910, at Mill Creek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley J. Dover. He and Elsie Rhodes were married in May 1928 in Jonesboro. She died Dec. 26, 1989.

Dover was a retired farmer. He was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Ralph Dover of DeSoto.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Garnett J. Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Alto Pass Cemetery.
