Graveside service for George W. Campbell Sr. of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Lorimier Cemetery. Dr. David Everly will officiate.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel Saturday from noon to 1:15 p.m.
Campbell, 75, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 5, 1924, at Chaffee, son of Clarence Ernest and Bessie May Schultz Campbell. He and Betty Jo Campbell were married Marach 19, 1943, at Perryville. She died Jan. 23, 1986. He later married Elvera LeGrand Greaser.
Campbell was a trainmaster with Frisco/Burlington Northern 36 years, retiring in 1981.
He was a 1943 graduate of Chaffee High School. He was a member of St. Mark Masonic Lodge 93. Campbell served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, George Campbell Jr. of Norman, Okla., Ricky Greaser of Cape Girardeau; four daughters, Rebecca Everly of Kansas City, Karen Schmidt of Tulsa, Okla., Connie Morgenstern and Mary Beth Fitzgerald of Woodland, Texas; two sisters, Bessie Sheibley of Elkhart, Ind., Betty McFerron of Chaffee; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
