KENNETT -- George William Borchers, 80, of Kennett died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1998, at National Health Care of Kennett.
He was born Feb. 10, 1918, in Salem, Mo.
He married Betty Ann Saffer May 22, 1948. She preceded him in death.
He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Bill Borcher of Casa Grande, Ariz.; five daughters, Ruth Jackson of Kennett, Barbara Borchers and Mary Borchers, both of Houston, Texas, Patty Webb of Kennett, and Katy Andersson of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Ann Kreher of Carthage and Margie Fuhrmann of St. Louis; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Kennett, with the Rev. Frank Brennen officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
