BERNIE -- George Ovid Beacham, 90, of Bernie died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at his home. He was born April 21, 1910, in Reagan, Tenn., son of John Wesley and Frances Ida Snider Beacham. He and Annie Lucille Wilson were married Nov. 24, 1934, at Kennett. She died Nov. 18, 1991...

BERNIE -- George Ovid Beacham, 90, of Bernie died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at his home.

He was born April 21, 1910, in Reagan, Tenn., son of John Wesley and Frances Ida Snider Beacham. He and Annie Lucille Wilson were married Nov. 24, 1934, at Kennett. She died Nov. 18, 1991.

Beacham moved to Bernie in 1957 from Senath. He farmed until retiring in 1977.

Survivors include two sons, George Beacham of Bernie, James Beacham of Jackson, Tenn.; three daughters, Mary Farmer and Nancy Tanner of Bernie, Andrea Loeppke of Chicago; a brother, Warren Beacham of Bernie; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, two brothers, and three sisters.

Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Susan Marner-Sides will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
